Citizen Police Academy: This 10-week program will give you first hand knowledge of the inner workings of the Plantation Police Department. You'll see a K-9 demonstration, participate in our firearms range, process a crime scene, learn about citizen safety and meet Plantation's own SWAT team. Participation is free; refreshments are served. Attendance to every class is not mandatory, and may be made up in another session. Please call for more information on the next session.
The Teen Police Academy is open to any person 13-17 years of age who lives or works in Plantation. The academy is held one night per week and runs for eight weeks. Interested teens should contact the Outreach Center at 954-916-5601.
