Officers arrest Burglary suspects.
On 8/20/2011 at 2:40 a.m. an armed carjacking occurred at the Sheraton Suites, 311 N. University Dr. A description of the victim’s vehicle was broadcast via police radio and an officer observed a vehicle matching its description eastbound on W. Broward Blvd. A minute later another officer observed the vehicle traveling southbound on S. SR 7. Units stopped the vehicle in the 1800 block of S. SR 7. The suspect vehicle initially stopped, but the driver was uncooperative and fled the stop in the vehicle. A pursuit ensued and the vehicle was finally stopped in the 2800 block of S. Federal Hwy in the City of Ft. Lauderdale. The driver was taken into custody and charged with armed carjacking, grand theft auto, fleeing and eluding and felony criminal mischief.
